Farming and Rural Businesses
Regional grants are currently available for farmers and rural businesses to install renewable technology:
Scotland Rural Development Programme - up to 40% grants for agricultural businesses in Scotland to install renewable energy.
Domestic Grants
The Energy Saving Scotland home renewable grants scheme offers grants to homeowners up to 30% to a maximum of £4,000. contact: www.energysavingtrust.org.uk/scotland
Community Grants
Community Energy Scotland (CARE) offers grants to community organisations, with an increased level of 50% up to £150,000. Contact: www.communityenergyscotland.org.uk
Developing Alternative and Renewable Energy (DARE) Fund - offers community grants in the Western Isles up to 50% of capital costs for installing renewable technology, minimum £10,000 and maximum £25,000. Delivered in partnership with Community Energy Scotland. Contact: Dare

Free consultancy service is available for SMEs in the North East to help them identify the best renewable energy technology for their needs. Funded by One North East and the European Regional Development Fund. Contact RENEW.

NW Climate Fund

Lancashire
Council offers 50% grants to small and medium size businesses (SMEs) for installing renewable energy technologies. For further information contact: Lancashire Small Scale Renewables Scheme.
North West Development Agency
The NWDA offers grants of up to 40% for farmers and rural businesses. Contact them for futher information and advice. www.nwda.co.uk

West Midlands Rural Enterprise Grant - Advantage West Midlands is offering farmers and rural businesses 50% grants up to £35,000 towards the cost of installing solar PV.
Re:Think Energy who are managing the scheme through Shropshire Council have confirmed a further 6.2m funding for renewable projects up to December 2012. Areas covered include herefordshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Telford & Wrekin.Rethink Energy.
Shropshire
Shropshire Council is offering financial help for communities and not for profit organisations, to help finance the shortfall left by the Community Sustainable Energy Programme 75% grant offer for renewable technology feasibility studies. Contact 01743 277119.
Herefordshire

Farmers could be eligible for grants through the new RDPE Funding/Gloucestershire First distributed by the SWRDA.
South West
