Solarcentury C21s PV Roof Tiles
The SP-4 series of Schuco PV modules are distinguished by multicrystalline solar cells with a cell efficiency of up to 15 % for high outputs per square metre of module area. The output tolerance of an SP-4 module is +5/-0 %, only modules of the highest quality provide this level of reliability. The rated output is always achieved or exceeded.
Schuco SP-4 modules have a 5-year extended product guarantee.
In fact, the guarantee on output values is considerably longer after 25 years, the Schuco module will still provide at least 80 % of its rated output. Every SP-4 module is manufactured according to current quality standards.
Prior to delivery, each SP-4 module is subject to a visual and electrical quality test. The output data measured is indicated on the back of the module and on the packaging. Homogeneous module fields can be grouped together quickly and effectively during installation
Two connecting boxes with a total of three bypass diode bridges on the reverse of the module prevent individual solar cells from overheating (hot-spot effect). This ensures the reliable operation of the whole system from module fields to inverters.
The use of lead-free solder in the manufacture of SP-4 modules results in a saving of 50 grams of lead per module, which makes a considerable contribution to environmental protection.
The module frame made from torsion-proof, anodised aluminium meets the highest standards in terms of stability and corrosion resistance. A cross bar in the frame on the reverse increases the load-bearing capacity of the module.

Schuco PM-5/-6 modules have an anodised aluminium frame that is available in any RAL colour on request. The modules are suitable for on-roof, flat-roof, in-roof, and complete roof installation without visible retaining clips and can be installed on the facade or as a canopy. They can be combined with Schuco solar thermal collectors and roof windows in the same module size.
Schuco PV modules in the PM-5/-6 series have monocrystalline solar cells with a dark Tedlar foil backing. The modules have a rated output of at least 310 Wp thanks to their unusually large surface area. The performance tolerance is + 5/-0 %; only modules of the highest quality provide this level of reliability. The rated output is always achieved or exceeded.

Solarcentury's C21e photovoltaic tiles deliver an excellent performance per m2 and, in its two variations, is compatible with both tiled and slate roofs providing an excellent aesthetic finish to the roof whilst helping to cut down on carbon emissions by generating the buildings own electricity.
C21e tiles and slates are simple to install, fixing directly to standard roofing battens, and can add significant value to a house. Solar energy is increasingly popular with homebuyers, self-builders and renovators as legislation from Government and consumer demand is driving a change in roofing. 'Active roofs' incorporating solar energy systems are becoming increasingly popular.
When daylight hits the solar tiles, which contain photovoltaic cells, it is converted to clean electricity. This process relies on daylight to work, not direct sunlight, so the C21e systems still produce electricity on cloudy days.
The electricity produced by the systems flows along a cable in the loft to an inverter. The inverter converts the electricity from direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC), which is used in the house in exactly the same way as the electricity from the grid
When the systems are producing more power than is needed in the home, electricity is exported and sold back to the utility company. At night, when the system is not producing electricity, power is imported from the grid in the normal way.
The solar installation needs very little maintenance from the homeowner, there are no moving parts and normal rainfall should keep the slates clean.
